Day 1: Arrival Ambon (D)
Upon arrival at the airport you will be met by one of our representative in the arrivals hall and privately transferred to your hotel in Ambon. Dinner served at Hotel.
Day 2: Historical Tour 1 (BLD)
Breakfast at the hotel, and then go to the world peace gong site. This magnificent and large Gong was built in the city of Ambon to improve the image of Ambon that was once synonymous with city riots and violence. You will get off the car and take pictures in the gong, while given explanations by the guide about the situation of Ambon during a civil war. After seeing the gongs, we will walk to the Victorian castle. Victoria Castle is the oldest fort in Ambon was built by the Portuguese in 1775. Inside the fort can be found the remains of giant-sized cannon. In some rooms there are statues carved of wood choices, map the development of Ambon city from the seventeenth century until the IX century, and several collections of paintings by Dutch administrators in the Moluccas. By looking at these relics visitors can record the history of birth and development of the city of Ambon. Afterward, we will make a 10 minutes drive to the Martha Tiahahu Monument who famous as a women heroes from Maluku. Together with her father and Thomas Matulessy as known as Kapitan Pattimura, they were successfully demolishing the Dutch troops who entrenched in Saparua, Central Maluku regency. This statue is located at Karang Panjang, a hilly area that been clearly seen from Ambon. From the location of Martha Christina Tiahahu statue, we can see the sights of Ambon city. This location is commonly used as an alternative place to enjoy a relaxing atmosphere, especially local people who want to enjoy the view of Ambon. Afterward, we will move to Siwa Lima Museum. This museum was established in 1973 and is filled with relics and historic objects. Siwa Lima museum has 2 main buildings. The first building is called the Siwalima Maritime Museum. In this place are objects of Ambonese maritime history and sea animals such as: three pieces of whale skeleton of 9 m, 17 m and 19 m length, as well as various objects of Maluku marine life. The second building is called Siwalima Cultural Museum. In this place are objects shown about everything relating to the Maluku culture, such as the original building of Maluku, clothing, agricultural tools, weapons, ceremonial paraphernalia, old money, and various jars from the Japanese colonial period. After the whole day, transfer back to hotel for your accommodation. Lunch served en-route at local restaurant and dinner served at restaurant.
Day 3: Historical Tour 2 (BLD)
Breakfast at the hotel and then move to the other side of Ambon and then visit fort Amsterdam for our first destination. The Fort Amsterdam is one of the older buildings with hundreds of years and it becomes part of the history VOC colonization in Ambon. Our guest will be invited to explore every corner of this building. The building has a three floors, and the first floor was become the bed of the soldiers. The second floor was used as a meeting room and the third floor was a monitoring post. Drive back to our hotel with en-route stop in Ambon War Cemetery. Ambon War Cemetery is a funeral for Australian soldiers killed in fighting Japan during World War II. This tomb is located not far from the Heroes Cemetery of Indonesia. Ambon War Cemetery has 2137 tombs of 1092 Australians, 810 British, 30 Indians, 2 Canadians, 1 New Zealand, 1 South African, 186 Dutch, and 15 other Allied peoples. After historical tour, enjoy your night with dinner at local restaurant and then transfer to hotel for your accommodation. Lunch served en-route at local restaurant
