As in 2018, Pacto’s CSR activity this year will still focus on education, because for him education is the future of a country.

In addition, he also focuses on awareness of environmental issues by reducing plastic waste. “At the moment we are looking for a solution for handling plastic waste. Pollution issues are also being addressed with the use of bio diesel,” he concluded.
In Pacto’s office, there will be focus on reducing paper use. He targeted January 2020 to achieve a paperless office. “The focus of this year for our CSR will remain on education, with a special attention to underprivileged schools, and the environment, with dedicated training to our operational team on how to reduce our impact on the environment” he said.

Umberto said that Pacto will maintain its expansion policy using representative offices, having added USA to the existing India, Germany, Eastern Europe, Spain, Italy, and Russia.

“The growth of American market has been good for the past 3 years, giving hope for further growth given the USA population.
For this reason Pacto we have appointed a representative office in USA.
And for cruises, we will join the biggest and most important cruise industry’s trade show in Miami, Florida, USA. We see great potential in the cruise business “he explained.

With 135 cruise ships expected to make call in Indonesian ports in 2019, this market has a great potential. “We need to look not only at the number of the cruise ships, but to consider how many calls were made stops at various ports in Indonesia,” he said. Therefore, he believes the potential growth of the cruise market is indeed very important to develop tourist objects in Indonesia which are still difficult to be visited. ‘’ We’ve been in the cruise market for 15 years, and we think it is still important to develop this market since their growth is continuing to increase over the past years” he concluded.
